Over the last few days, information about the next iteration of Warzone has been leaked online. A recent video from the content creator NerosCinema had outlined several key features coming to Warzone 2 that have been verified independently from my own sources.
Today I wanted to expand on some of these details in more depth, as well as share a few more details about Warzone 2, which is not yet known.
Interrogation function
Although this feature has not yet been mentioned online, Warzone 2 will have an interrogation feature that all players will have access to. The interrogation function is very similar to the interrogation function in Rainbow Six Siege, where players can interrogate shot down enemies to reveal the location of their teammates.
As you approach defeated enemies, you will see the “Interrogate” prompt, from which your player performs an execution-like animation to kill the player. When the player is killed, their teammate’s locations are shown on the mini-map.
The interrogation feature seems to be in its early stages, where the current animation is just a form of Voice Shot animation where you inject the player (or maybe it’s a truth serum)! The whole animation and process currently takes about six seconds.
It’s unclear if this feature will be included in the final build of the game, but it has been suggested to me by several people that this is more of an “addition” to the execution animations we’ve seen before. Call of Duty titles.
Armor vests
As briefly mentioned in NerosCinema’s latest video, armored vests are returning. This time, however, armor vests appear to be a hybrid of the armor system between Blackout and Warzone.
This time, players must find an armor vest with several levels to be able to equip armor plates.
Armor vests range from level 1 to level 3, where each floor allows you to equip one more armor plate. Your armor vest does not break, but so do your armor plates, which means you will need to refill your plates after you are hit, just like in Warzone.
Bag system
Sources have said that the bag system is in early development and things are still very fluid with how the system can be for the last game.
It’s basically very similar to Escape from Tarkov, where players can add ammo, killstreaks and weapons to their bag. Different bag layers give you more storage space.
Example of how the bag system works (not exact figures).
- Ammunition – Occupies 1 space
- Killstreaks – Records 4 seats (2 times 2)
- Assault Rifle – Records 6 slots (2 times 3)
- Sniper Rifle – Holds 8 slots (2 times 4)
- Tier 1 bag – 10 places (2 times 5)
- Tier 2 bag – 15 places (3 times 5)
- Tier 3 bag – 20 seats (4 times 5)
This means that players can place several different items in their bags depending on the size of the bag.
It has been suggested that at present you can not “flip” weapons to add to your bag, as they can only be placed horizontally, at least for Warzone 2.
If you are not familiar with games like Escape from Tarkov, then the new bag system is basically a more complicated version of the bag system from Blackout.
It is unclear whether the bag system will be the exact system across both modes, but the foundation is laid in what to expect.
Pro perks
Pro Perks is something that some older Call of Duty fans will be familiar with and is basically a better version of normal perks, and they’re coming to Warzone 2.
Pro Perks can be achieved by looting Strongholds, and although some Pro Perks were on predetermined classes during the recent Warzone 2 playtests, it’s not entirely clear whether Pro Perks will be able to be used on your Loadout, as you may need to loot and use them to get an extra edge.
strongholds
I have already covered Strongholds in a recent report that you can check it out herebut essentially, Stronghold’s locations are scattered around the map, guarded by AI and having targets within them.
Completing the goal and mission will give you your Loadout, in addition to other goodies like Pro Perks and Killstreaks.
As with all leaks, please take the information with a pinch of salt. Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are still in active development, and with still 5-6 months of development time from release, things can change.
I also want to make it clear that even though previous Modern Warfare 2 cards from the original game come to Warzone 2, that does not necessarily mean that they will come to the premium title as 6v6 cards, at least at launch.
Since Infinity Ward now has a two-year release cycle, it is possible that we will see all of these cards during the two years, but not necessarily at launch. So keep your expectations in check.
