Microsoft has announced that Teams Rooms on Android will support the ability to attend Zoom meetings. Direct guest sign-ups will initially be available on Poly devices and some Yealink devices with other manufacturers following soon.
As a result of the partnership with Zoom, users who have direct guest sign-on enabled via settings will be able to schedule a new Zoom meeting or forward an existing Zoom meeting to the Teams Room on Android. The meeting will appear on the calendar and will be available to attend from there.
Direct Guest Attendance allows Teams Room users to skip the process of entering a meeting ID and password each time they join a Zoom call. The feature was already available for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, and organizations with Zoom Rooms can similarly enable Microsoft Teams Direct Guest Join.
However, interoperability with Google Meet is not available on any of the platforms.
