Save on just a few Meta Quest 2 VR games this weekend

Meta held its 2022 game showcase last week, lifting the curtain for several new virtual reality games on the way to the Quest 2 headset. We have an overview of the titles that we are most excited about right here. To celebrate the event, Meta has lowered the prices of several VR games, which only get discounts on a few occasions each year. So whether you just bought a Quest 2 or you just want to fill your library a little more, check out these deals.

I have highlighted a few offers that I think are particularly good:

If you’re looking for a compact, yet smart speaker, Google’s Nest Audio can fit the bill. Usually $ 99.99, this model is priced at the Google Store, as well as at Best Buy and Walmart for $ 79.99.

As someone who got a little tired of reserving table space for a giant Google Home Max, the upgrade (or downgrade technically) to the smaller Nest Audio was a smart move for me. It delivers crisp sound that can get loud without degrading its low or advanced delivery, so I do not miss the more powerful speaker as much as I thought. Best Buy is hosting a series of Earth Day promotions aimed at getting you into one of its stores with your old computer accessories in tow. And for good reason, if you’ve had the chance this weekend, the retailer will give you a 20% off coupon for a new Logitech accessory, such as its excellent Logitech StreamCam or G435 wireless gaming headset, when you drop off an old PC or gaming accessories. This offer in the store ends on May 6. You can read the details here.

Also at Best Buy you can exchange your old modem, router or modem / router combo to get a 15 percent discount on a new model. This is another in-store offer only, and unfortunately Google’s network products are excluded from the agreement. However, it should help you get a good price on a product from other recommended brands in the space, such as Eero, Orbi and others. Details are here.

Finally, for in-store Best Buys Earth Day promotions, you can take any hard drive or SSD to the retailer for recycling and receive a coupon that offers a 10 percent discount on the price of a Western Digital or SanDisk Professional hard drive. Note that these are high capacity disk drives and not fast SSDs. Still, it might be worth it if you need some extra storage space for large files. Google Nest’s battery-powered doorbell gets a big discount, and it’s happening at Amazon and other retailers. Usually $ 179.99 for this slim model, you can choose one for $ 149.99 in different colors. This can be a great product for first-time smart doorbell owners. To that end, my colleague Dan Seifert praised its amazing people and packet detection capabilities as well as its longer-than-average battery life.

However, this battery-powered option leaves a few features on the table compared to previous generations. It shoots with a lower resolution, and it lacks 24/7 continuous shooting. Yet this agreement reduces the sting of these flaws. Read our full review.

The latest generation of Nest’s battery-powered video doorbell has a high form factor that comes in several colors: white, ivy, ash and linen. The wireless device captures 960 x 1280 resolution at up to 30 frames per second with HDR and night vision, and it can detect people, animals, vehicles and packages.
