It’s the weekend, which means it’s time for another Dealmaster. Our latest list of the best technical deals from around the web includes a handful of deals on Google Nest devices. Both the popular Nest Learning Thermostat and the more wallet-friendly Nest Thermostat, for example, are for sale, with the former being down to $ 199 and the latter available for $ 100 at various retailers. While none of the deals offer the absolute lowest price we have tracked, both are well below their typical online street prices and well below Google’s MSRPs of $ 250 and $ 130, respectively.

In any case, both units remain commendable options for those who want to use a smart thermostat, either to cut down on energy consumption or take greater control of their home’s heating and cooling. The advanced Nest still looks sharp, installs relatively easily and works with a range of smart home devices and platforms. It can still “learn” your usual heating and cooling preferences and then automatically plan its future adjustments accordingly, (for the most part) staying out of the way for a day. The more affordable Nest Thermostat lacks the automatic scheduling feature (though you can still enter a schedule manually), has a cheaper plastic frame and does not support Google’s remote temperature balancing sensors, but still looks nice and has an otherwise similar feature set – including tools like HVAC monitoring and voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant – for less money.

However, if you do not need a new thermostat, other Google devices such as the Nest Audio home speaker and Fitbits Luxe activity tracker are also for sale.
