The Elden Ring’s Colosseum mystery now has an explanation thanks to a content creator and their data mining efforts!
The Fire Ring has lots of secrets in store for its players. To date, all Soulslike titles are famous for their cryptic quests and NPC dialogue.
Following the same structure, Elden Ring is not only an exception, but also takes this premise to a whole new level.
The game has an incredible amount of intricate quests that gets players exploring every corner of The Lands Between.
This exploration rewards players with more insight into this ruined world that experienced better times and golden ages in the distant past.
However, all this exploration still did not solve any riddles. Some secrets like Colosseums you can find in the game remained a mystery until now.
The Fire Ring Colosseums explained
Content Creator Sekiro Dubi used some map editions and data mining techniques to finally gain access to the Colosseums in the Elden Ring.
Based on an element found outside one of the Colosseums, the content creator put together a theory of what these structures were meant to do in the final game.
This item is Ritual Shield Talisman. The description of this talisman depicts an era before the age of King Consort Radagon. Back in those times, ritualistic battle was held in honor of Erdtree.
According to the teachings of the game, this description gives a good idea of the purpose of these structures in the Middle Countries.
The content creator explored each Colosseum and discovered interesting facts about its structure.

Colosseums in Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid
Colosseums in The Lands Between have the following features in common:
- Site of Grace at the entrance, possibly called “Leyndell Colosseum” (name depending on location) according to Network Test data mining
- The upper level has an arena that might have served as a gladiator-like feature

In addition, based on data from unarmed enemies, Sekiro Dubi was able to get a clear idea of the intent of this arena.
One of the enemies associated with the arena is called “Gladiator Large. Another beast of the beast type is called the” Old Lion of Arena. “
With all these references, it’s clear the developer might have intended to include some gladiator-style battles in the game.
The content creator concludes this video with a curious information. According to data mining, the lobby of this Colosseum was named “Return point Bonfire Reception desk.”
This could indicate a lot of possibilities. Maybe an online PvP Gladiator mode? Probably a leaderboard of PvE against Beasts in the Colosseum?
