Samsung has released a Pokémon-themed poké ball cover for their Galaxy Buds genuine wireless earphones in South Korea. It is the perfect accessory for anyone who prefers their charging case to look nice instead of being easy to fit in their pocket. Gizmodo reports that the case is a limited edition and it also appears to be exclusive to South Korea, where it costs 134,000 won (about $ 105).
Unlike a very similar charging case for wireless earphones, which Razer released in 2020, Samsung’s poké ball does not appear to charge its earphones directly. Instead, the idea is that you put the regular charging case for your Galaxy Buds 2, Galaxy Buds Pro or Galaxy Buds Live (aka Galaxy Beans) inside the poké ball, where it is probably ready to be inserted in the middle of the match. Samsung also includes a Pokémon-themed sticker with the accessories to adorn your charging case.
There is no word on whether the poké ball can be released outside of South Korea. But since there have been no signs of Samsung’s previous Pokémon-themed Galaxy Z Flip 3 out of the country, we are not holding our collective breath.
