Xiaomi continues to impress and packs great specs into a comfortable little device (with a small price). But does the Mi Band 7 have all the features that users expect from their fitness tracker? The new device offers a larger screen, a fresh user interface and lots of new features, but what about NFC? Read on to find out.

Does Xiaomi Mi Band 7 have NFC?
The latest generation, Mi Band 6, launched in China with two models available. The NFC version allows for contactless payments, while the standard model – which unfortunately is the version sold globally – is missed.
Xiaomi Mi Band 7 launched two versions in China, a standard and an NFC model, but it is not yet clear which one will be sold globally.
Similarly, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 7 in two versions, a standard model priced at 249 Chinese yuan (~ $ 37), and an NFC version priced at 299 yuan (~ $ 44). As usual, it will probably take a few weeks before we see the device roll out globally. It is not yet clear which model will be available for countries outside China.
What about NFC at Xiaomi’s competition?
NFC is not a fixed component on all devices. One of Mi Band 7’s closest competitors, the Fitbit Inspire 2 does not offer NFC. Shoppers would have to skip the much more expensive Fitbit Charge 5 to use Fitbit Pay. On the other hand, the latest Huawei Band 7 offers NFC. Learn more about Xiaomi’s competition at the link below.
