Don’t worry, Splatoon 3 will have all the “Basic Weapons” from the previous games

Update: We have received official confirmation from @SplatoonNA on three of the returning weapons to Splatoon 3. The official Splatoon Twitter account has shown Splattershot, Splattershot Jr. and .96 Gal, and it is promised to share even more weapons further down.

Let’s take a look and remind ourselves of these three, shall we?

The one we pretty much knew would come back. This is the gun you see on all the promotional artwork, covers, Smash Ultimate, amiibos … It’s simple but iconic.

Splattershot Jr.

Another that we probably all expected to see, given that it’s the tutorial weapon in the first two games. This little blaster has a fast firing speed, high ink efficiency, and its firing range is also quite high.

.96 Gal

A weapon with great long-range damage that is less about speed and more about blows. We’ve seen this in some of the promo art for Splatoon 3 along with Splattershot.

Original article: We’ve been getting a steady stream of information about Splatoon 3 ever since the release date fell. Most of this has been focused on the game’s new weapons, such as Triple Inkstrike and Ink Vac. However, these new revelations seem to have made fans ask for some of their old favorites from Splatoon 3’s predecessors.

Well, you do not have to worry about whether or not your best weapon comes back anymore, as Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that all basic weapons from Splatoon and Splatoon 2 will be back for the sequel.

Some fans’ favorite paint guns are part of the all-new art that Nintendo shared with us today. A few notable returns are N-ZAP, Jet Squelcher, Aerospray and Splattershot Pro.

We are sure there are more recurring weapons, reels, sloshers, etc. on the way, and we have not even named all of them in the above. Meanwhile, the folks over at Splatoon Wiki have a list of all weapons in all three games, including which have been confirmed for the third access. You can check the list right here.
