Elden ring player with glass cannon bonkers each main boss with a single hit

Elden Ring is full of tough bosses, many of whom have no problem quickly showing you the nearest burial site if you get lost, and defeating them is often a matter of slowly slipping into their long health bars until you breathe a sigh of relief, while the words “Enemy Felled” finally appear. However, one player would hand it out to these bosses as well as they do, and a little more. So he reinforced his Tarnished to one-shot many of the game’s toughest opponents, from Morgott to Radahn, among others.

BushyGames, a Twitch streamer and Elden Ring speedrunner, uploaded a nearly 50-minute video to YouTube on May 16th. The video showed Bushy trying – and succeeding – in beating FromSoftware’s action RPG by killing any head boss with a single hit. There were a few rules Bushy introduced before embarking on such a difficult task. For example, he could only perform one attack per. enemy or per. boss phase (for those bosses, such as Rannala, who have multiple phases, making it impossible to exhaust their health bar completely with a single attack) and must avoid using the cheap jet spell Comet Azur unless he “absolutely has to complete the challenge.” Otherwise, he gave himself free rein to use any object or technique available to assist him in his quest. It included things like buffs that Bushy used a lot to survive the race of hell.

After creating his Tarnished called One Punch Man, Bushy Lands Between searched for gear. He collected objects as Ax Talisman and Spiked Cracked Tear for increased charged assault damage. He collected various forging stones and weapon skills, such as Ash of War: Determination, which strengthens the strength of your next attack. He also cheeseed the riding Night’s Calvary boss by forcing it to jump off the bridge, all before grabbing his idolized weapon: the colossal force escalation Giant crusher Hammer. Bushy also got up here and there, but he did not spend as much time on the screens as he just explored the Middle Ages for resources and killed enemies for runes.

Things picked up when Bushy got the Giant-Crusher. He raised his hammer several times and quickly traveled around the map searching for higher-quality materials – which advanced forging stones to further strengthen his weapon – before testing his one-hit attacking abilities against his first real boss fight: Deathbird in Liurnia of the Lakes. Bushy once tried and polished himself with things like the HP Recovery Consumables Bloodboil Aromatic and the defense-enhancing incantation Golden promise, only to shave off about half of the boss’s health bar with his hammer’s simple, mighty blow. A failed second attempt was significantly better, with Deathbird somehow hanging on to the slightest splinter of health after Bushy’s assault, but the third time was the charm.

After three hours of farming and leveling his hammer once more, Bushy polished his Tarnished up with the same items, went up to Deathbird, and killed the rotten thing in one blow. “Bang! Hov,” Bushy exclaimed enthusiastically. Will not lie, I felt it too. He repeated the process for each main boss, from Margit, the Fell Omen to Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, and performed a self-polishing ritual before starting each match.

Not every meeting went as intended. Radahn, for example, forced him to swap out some fixtures to maximize his damage, choosing Flame of Frenzy spell until he was better able to exercise Jellyfish shield‘s attacking skill Contagious Fury. And the Fire Giant bullied him for about an hour. But after some trial and error, Bushy beat it all Elden Ring‘s main bosses, or in the case of those with multiple phases, he obliterated each phase with a single hit. What made this even more impressive was that because Bushy used buffing spells that also happened to inflict self-harm, such as attacking abilities. Seppuku, he very often had 10% or less health during the fight. Talk about a glass cannon.

Bushy told Kotaku that even though he only killed the bosses “necessary to beat the game”, he is convinced that each boss phase can be done in a single hit. That said, he shouted some Elden Ring jerks that gave him a hard time.

“The last boss Radagon and Elden Beast were the hardest to one-shot, and I even had to break my self-imposed rule of no Comet Azur to properly one-shot Elden Beast,” Bushy said. “Some people commented that Comet Azur should not be considered a one-shot anyway, as it is a series of hits rather than one case of damage, but I disagree. The analogy I give is a shotgun, it fires a shot , but hits several times. “

All in all, Bushy spent just over 25 hours assembling, testing and performing the entire run. He said he learned a lot about Elden Ring from this and even got tips from the game community and commentators on his video.

“It was a fun race with lots of problem solving, and I’m very surprised it was possible at all in the first place,” Bushy said. “On top of that, after posting the video, I received lots of comments and messages that told me about other things that could have helped or improved the construction, those included Ancient Dragon’s Lightning Strike with a faith building, Rusted Anchor greataxe and Zweihander colossal swords – both of which have shock attacks that allow for another damage fight called ‘counter-damage’, which is inaccessible to any non-offensive weapon – and the Marais executioner’s sword for its unique Ash of War, which can cause a wealth of damage. some of these things over the course of the race, but they are all options that can perform better in some circumstances compared to what I used. “

I’m guessing if there’s any takeaway from Bushy’s race, it might be this: Ind Elden Ringthe best way to win is to “perform a ton of damage” in one hit.
