Nintendo has announced release dates for both Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Splatoon 3 this week. And now, to add to this, the file sizes have also apparently been revealed via its official website. We have the size of Nintendo Switch Sportsalso.
So what do we look at for each game? Here is how much space you will need if you choose the digital versions.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – 15.0 GB
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is about 15.0 GB in size. For comparison, the basic game is off Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was about 13.2 GB. The first game on the Nintendo Switch is about 13.7 GB.
Splatoon 3 – 6.0 GB
Splatoon 3 is close to the second game, which was 6.1 GB. The first Splatoon game on the Wii U was only 1.8 GB around the time of release.
Nintendo Switch Sports – 1.4 GB
Nintendo Switch Sports will be around 1.4 GB at launch (April 29, but additional free content updates are already planned, which will allow players to play the game “Football” with the accessory for play straps. Golf will also be added in the future.
As usual, these file sizes can be changed prior to the official releases of each game. Although they are not dead on the launch game sizes, they should at least be some sort of indication of how much space each title will require.
