Four Siphon Filter games rated for PS5 and PS4 in Korea ahead of the launch of the all-new PlayStation Plus – IGN

Sony’s new PlayStation Plus has not yet been launched, but PlayStation fans may get a beloved cult classic as part of the membership.

Spotted by GematsuKorea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee issued ratings for four Siphon Filter games for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The games include the original Siphon Filter, Siphon Filter 2, Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Siphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow.

This is likely to be good news for fans of the third-person shooter that has become synonymous with the PlayStation brand. Unfortunately, not all Siphon Filter games were rated by the committee. Siphon Filter 3 and Siphon Filter: The Omega Strain were not included, so it is unknown if they will also be listed in PlayStation Plus.

Sony recently unveiled its update for PlayStation Plus which brings it closer to the Xbox Game Pass. If the Siphon Filter series is actually on this new PS Plus – as these ratings are no guarantee – it’s likely to be below the “Premium” level, which adds PS1, PS2 and PS3 (via streaming) and PSP games to the offerings. It looks like nostalgia is going to cost you.

The advantage of this is that you will probably be able to download Siphon Filter games for your PS4 / PS5. Siphon Filter was never released on PS3 and therefore does not suffer from the technical issues prevent Sony from emulating PS3 games on PS4 / PS5.

Sony finally revealed the release dates for its all-new PlayStation Plus earlier today, April 22nd. The rollout begins with the Asian markets (sans Japan) on May 23, Japan on June 1, America on June 13 and finally Europe on June 22. Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will become grandparents in the “Essential” level, while those who want the top Premium level will have to pay $ 17.99 / month.
