Kojima is reacting publicly to Norman Reedus’ allegations that Death Stranding 2 is under development

Hideo Kojima has responded to Norman Reedus’ comments that he “just started” another Death Stranding game.

Without explicitly commenting on the revelation, Kojima shared a handful of photos of the couple – whose location apparently celebrates Reedus’ The Walking Dead show – with the caption “go to your private room, friend”.

For those who do not know, the private space is a space where the main character Sam Bridges – played by Reedus – recovers during his journey in Death Stranding.

To soften the blow, Kojima added a thumbs-up emoji followed by the heart eyes, indicating that he is a good sport without hard feelings.

Yesterday, Norman Reedus apparently confirmed that a sequel to Death Stranding is under development. In a new interview, Reedus – the actor behind the lead role, Sam Porter Bridges – discussed Death Stranding and simply said, “We just started the other one.”

Reedus also confirmed yesterday how his role also emerged.

“Guillermo Del Toro, who gave me my first movie, called me and said, ‘Hey, there’s a guy named Hideo Kojima, he wants to call you, just say yes.’ And I say, ‘What do you mean, just say yes?’ He says, ‘Stop being an asshole, just say yes.’ Then I was in San Diego and Hideo came with a big group of people, he’s from Tokyo and he showed me what he was working on in a game called Silent Hill.

“I was blown away by what he showed me.”
