New trailer highlights Nintendo Switch sports as part of fitness regime

When the Wii was launched along with its iconic bundled game Wii Sports (except in Japan, where it was sold separately), trailers showed games of all ages and types getting out of the butt and swinging a remote around. The switch was able to regain it a bit in this generation, where Ring Fit Adventure proved to be a modern spiritual successor to especially the Wii Fit.

The arrival of Nintendo Switch Sports this week will bring us a third generation of controller wave sports; do not forget the Wii Sports Club on the Wii U! When the system arrived more than five years after the system was launched, its place in the library is a little different as a result, and in the latest Japanese commercial, we see Nintendo tie the game to Ring Fit Adventure as a natural part of a workout routine. We see the player finish some drills before jumping into an online badminton match (and also take it pretty seriously).

As a marketing pageant, it makes a lot of sense, and we can not help but smile at seeing Nintendo make such a deliberate point out of highlighting the Joy-Con wrist strap – after all, a few TVs paid the price for overzealous Wii gamers back in the day.

Tell us in the comments what you think about Nintendo Switch Sports joining the Ring Fit Adventure as part of a workout routine at home – workable reality or marketing crap?
