PlayStation has quietly announced a delay of its cat game Stray with a release now expected this summer.
The release window was previously set for spring 2022, but in a tweet (below) featuring commercials for indie games soon to be discovered by Eurogamer, PlayStation sneakily confirmed the delay.
Strays’ launch on PS5, PS4 and PC marks two years ago that it was first shown at the PS5 unveiling event, where it was originally expected to be a 2021 release.

Developing BlueTwelve’s goal is simple: “Our goal is to create a unique experience by playing like a cat,” they said at the time.
But this is not your average domestic cat, as players control the kitten while exploring a robot cyber city and attempting to return home using a drone called the B-12.
BlueTwelve has been pretty quiet since the original unveiling, and only really shared more information about the game in July last year, when the postponement to the spring of 2022 was announced.
Several games from the original PS5 unveiling, which took place in September 2020, have suffered from delays and the COVID-19 pandemic has not done the game development any benefits.
Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Forbidden West, Deathloop, was among the biggest games to experience delays, but Stray, along with Goodbye Volcano High and Forspoken, are the only games that remain unreleased.
