Pokemon Go will celebrate Mega Beasts in their own way, which means trainers will have an event dedicated to Mega Pokemon.
The recently announced Mega Moment event will incorporate the new Mega system that shows coaches how it works. There will be a debut of a new Pokemon and that Pokemon is Mega Kangaskhan. This new Beast will be shown as a Mega Raid Boss during the event.
A curious coach has pointed out that the Mega Evolve button on Kanghaskhan has already been on his side for several days as well as for Latios and Latias. Fantastic not? The new Mega Beast will be celebrated through a Raid Day event beginning on May 1st from 6 p.m. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. There will be an increased chance of encountering Shiny Kangaskhan and an increase of up to five free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs during the event.
There will be a whole new Special Research story with new missions where trainers will have to choose an option (we already had that type of Special Research) between Venusaur, Charizard or Blastoise and Mega Evolve one of those fascinating creatures.
The wild encounters for the festive Mega Evolution event will be Pokemon that can Mega Evolve in Pokemon and they are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Slowpoke, Gastly, Mareep, Buneary and Snover. Some of the most important Pokemon are included here, so keep your focus on them (hints: Charmander, Buneary, Snover). As a bonus, Mega-Evolved Pokemon will receive a CP boost during these few days.
Event-themed field research assignments will be available during the Mega Moment event. If you complete them, you will receive a Mega Energy Reward for every Pokemon that can Mega Evolve in Pokemon Go. What a great way to stack up on Mega Energy, right?
