Robot Chicken parody has Scorpion using Mortal Kombat 11’s X-ray system to ‘help’ his brother Sub-Zero

Throughout Robot Chicken’s 220 episodes that have been aired so far, the Mortal Kombat series has been parodied many times. In a recent event that aired quite recently, Mortal Kombat 11’s Krushing Blow and X-ray system were referenced directly.

Apparently, X-ray attacks in the Mortal Kombat universe are not just to kill people. After watching the clip, Ed Boon himself highlights how there is a specific reason why the team refers to these as “x-ray movements.”

During a battle between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Scorpion is able to land a direct hit with its iconic spear special. The resulting hit causes an X-ray effect to emerge that is not unlike Krushing Blows or Fatal Blows in Mortal Kombat 11.

After completing his attack, Scorpion tells Sub-Zero that he thinks he “saw something.” Sub-Zero gets worried that he may have a lump of cancer.

To help Sub-Zero out, Scorpion performs another attack that causes the X-ray effect in hopes of getting a better look. When in fact there is nothing, Scorpion assumes he was wrong before.

However, Sub-Zero does not want to take any chances. He apparently insists that Scorpion should take another look.

Scorpion is able to definitively establish that he was wrong by the first. Although Scorpion is hopeful of resuming the fight, it appears that Sub-Zero had taken too much damage from the x-rays.

Out of obligation, Scorpion reluctantly performs a Fatality. Check it out below:
