Samsung is preparing for the launch of a new Galaxy M-series smartphone. The company recently launched Galaxy M33 5G as its new 5G smartphone under Rs 20,000 in India. Within a few days of launch, the company has confirmed the launch of another smartphone during the series. The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will debut later this month in India.
Samsung confirmed the launch of its new 5G smartphone in India via Twitter. The device was unveiled earlier this month. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G will be the next smartphone to launch the Galaxy M series in India. The device will be available for purchase through Amazon India. Samsung has not yet confirmed the exact launch date of the device. However, we can expect the Galaxy M53 5G India launch to take place in April itself.
The Galaxy M53 was launched earlier this month in select markets. Its pricing information is currently under wraps. However, we have some details about the specifications. To begin with, the phone has a 6.7-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen. The screen has a hole cutout in the top center for the front camera. It also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen is flat and has thin frames, except for the slightly thick chin.
Under the hood, the phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. It comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Samsung may offer more RAM and storage options to the Indian market. If not, users will have to rely on a microSD card for storage expansion up to 1 TB.
On the back, the phone has a quad camera setup. The phone has a 108 MP main camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. There is an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography. The device has a 32 MP front camera sensor. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock.
The device has a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It weighs 176 grams and measures 77.0 x 164.7 x 7.4 mm. Finally, the Samsung phone launches Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 out of the box.
