If you’ve been waiting to see Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from your own living room, look no further. Sega news site SEGAbits has confirmed that Sonic 2 will be available for streaming on Paramount Plus starting May 24th.

The film was released in theaters on April 8, making May 24 one of the first days when the film qualifies to be shown on a streaming platform after the 45-day cinema exclusivity window. The film experienced great success during its early theatrical showing, and it earned the biggest opening weekend of any video game film.
The popularity of the two Sonic movies has already caused Sega to double the franchise. We already know that a third Sonic movie is on the way along with an Idris Elba-led Knuckles spin-off series under development for Paramount Plus.
