Sonic Origins was announced a while back during the ‘Sonic Central’ stream in May 2021. Nothing has been mentioned since about the upcoming collection, but it looks like it may be going faster than we think. thanks to a recent assessment in South Korea.

As reported by VGC, the Korean rating board has rated the game for “all users” (no surprise there), but the actual mention of the game is remarkable as we have not seen either hide or hair of it for almost a year at. at the time of writing.

The game will be a collection of the so-called “classic” Sonic games, including:

Instead of “vanilla” emulations, the included games will apparently be brand new ports that allow for 16: 9 widescreen displays and other cool little things.

Hopefully we hear more from SEGA live about the upcoming game soon.
