The Google TV app is finally available on iOS | Engadget

Following the launch, the Google TV app is now available for download on iOS. If you already have the company’s previous Google Play Movies & TV software installed on your phone, this app will replace it. As with its Android counterpart, the Google TV app allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control for your Google TV or Android TV OS device, making it easier, among other things, to enter the titles of movies and TV series you want to watch .

You can also use the app to gather content recommendations from various streaming services. Not all platforms are supported – Netflix is ​​missing, for example – but the fact that you can create a single watch list for each service you pay for is convenient. In addition, it is possible to create observation lists around your favorite actors. And as you rate movies and series, the app will refine its suggestions. You will also find custom feeds with links to news, reviews and more. Finally, there is a dedicated section for content that you have purchased and rented from Google.
