Falcom is releasing a PlayStation 5 version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki on July 28 in Japan for 5,800 yen in retail and 5,500 yen via download, the developer announced. In addition, publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment will release the PlayStation 5 version along with a PC version (Steam) in Asia on the same day with traditional Chinese and Korean subtitles.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki first launched for PlayStation 4 on September 30, 2021 in Japan and Asia. A successor, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN-will be released for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 this fall.
Users who already own the PlayStation 4 version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for 110 yen (about $ 0.86). (This is the standard for PlayStation 4 for PlayStation 5 upgrades in Japan for certain games, which is a free upgrade worldwide.) Save data from the PlayStation 4 version can also be transferred to the PlayStation 5 version.
The PlayStation 5 version comes with enhancements and new features, including 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, a high-speed mode and more.

The PlayStation 5 version now supports 4K resolution and 60 frames per second for even more breathtaking images. First printed copies of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki for PlayStation 5 will include the downloadable content set “Thank-You Mega Box Plus”, which adds the Hollow Core voice “Latoya Hamilton” (pronounced by Kikuko Inoue), and the Van and Agnes costumes that were previously exclusive to Asia.
