A new heavily modified The Witcher 3 graphics display window in 8K resolution has been released and it makes us thirst even more for the official upcoming next-gen update.
A few days ago, CD Project Red announced the delay of the long-awaited next-generation update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As expected, this announcement had some belief that the development of the update is not going as planned. Fortunately for the fans, as confirmed by the developer, this is not the case at all.
“I’ve been looking at the headlines that appeared here and over the internet and I’ve seen one that really caught my attention, which is The Witcher 3’s next generation delayed indefinitely, which sounds like the game is in a kind of development hell “, said Deputy Director of Business Development and Board Member Michał Nowakowski during an earnings call. “I would like to say that this is not the fact.”
So while we’re still waiting anxiously for the next generation patch for the game, YouTuber ‘Digital Dreams’ released a new next-gen The Witcher 3 showcase in 8K and lots of mods. Needless to say, this amazing exhibit makes us thirst even more for the next generation update, though we are pretty sure it will not look as good as this heavily modified version of the title. Like most of this channel’s showcases, this video uses the creator’s own custom “Beyond all Limits” Reshade ray tracing preset. In addition, this video has the game running with BlitzFX mod, which integrates modern state-of-the-art rendering techniques in The Witcher 3, i.a. Contact-curing soft shadows, Screen space contact shadows, HDR flowering and motion blur, Improved water reproduction, Improved sun reproduction, Improved anti-aliasing on vegetation, Improved tonemapping, and Reduced ribbon.
