Welcome to another edition of Wordle, where we’re still in the process of guessing 5 letter words after all this time. For many, it has become a daily ritual, or a nightly ritual, if you are me, that it’s up until late to do Wordle every night, just when it changes, so I can write this. The people must know the answer!
Before we dive in, if Wordle is a little too tame for you, there’s another word game going on right now that’s not a Wordle clone, but recommended by the one who made Wordle. It is called Knowwords, and it’s basically a little mini crossword puzzle with a twist every day. I would look it up and check it out, it’s pretty smart and ingenious, just like Wordle when everyone first discovered it. That may be the next big thing.
An introduction to Wordle

Word of the day # 315 answers and tips
Before we begin, I’ll start this section again with a spoiler warning so you can look away now if you do not want the actual answer. If you want a tip, I can try something different and a little more direct this time to see if people like it. Just in terms of structure, this word has only one vowel, but it is used twice. That’s all I want to say! Hopefully it helps you without giving it away completely. But if you want it given away?
The answer is…
Let it go!
It’s one of those words we probably use a lot in the conversation, but we do not really think about it during a puzzle like this, and I was actually a little surprised that it was the answer. How did I come to that?
I started with my usual CRANE, which only gave me R. Then I guessed at RUMPS, which I’m pretty sure the New York Times will never choose as a word, but it removed several letters and made me miss another one, where the R ‘is. I blanked on a new word with all the original letters so I did LORDS just to try to find the vowel and the R position and it turns out it did both. From there, I stowed for a while with my remaining letters until it made me SUGGEST. Double Us, but not side by side like SCOOP or something.
That’s all it took today, so check back tomorrow and try Knotwords if you want. Let me know what you think of it.
