Team Fortress 2 remains an extremely popular game with a large active player base, but the last few years it has seen it overrun by aimbots. A passionate group of fans has long asked developer Valve to address the issue, and the company has finally responded.
Yesterday, the official Team Fortress 2 Twitter account sent a message in response to # SaveTF2, a peaceful campaign by fans working to raise awareness of the game’s widespread bot problem. Basically, bot programs have made the game almost unplayable for some, as they will instantly kill players when loaded into match-ups, giving bots users an unfair advantage. TF2 players have become more and more vocal about the issue, but Valve has largely remained silent on the issue (even going silent on game forums) until he posted the following message:
TF2 community, we hear you! We love this game and know you do too. We see how big this problem has become and we are working to improve things.

Valve does not elaborate on how it plans to tackle the problem, or when to expect a solution, but getting the notoriously quiet company to respond is an achievement and a relief for Team Fortress 2 fans. Hopefully this will result in a significant response coming sooner rather than later.
