After several complaints, the developers have issued a fix for inaccurate Battle Pass XP progression as well as compensated the affected season 2 players with bonus XP in Warzone’s update on April 20th.
Given the excitement generated by teasers leading up to Warzone Pacific season 3, players are already looking past season 2. However, the developers have not finished adjustments in season 2 as they have released an update on April 20 that finally fixes Battle Pass XP progression.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Warzone update on April 20, including the Battle Pass XP fix and how compensation for lost XP works.
Warzone Pacific Season 2 Battle Pass XP fix
According to Raven Software, the issue of players not getting the intended Battle Pass XP was resolved on April 20th.
With Season 3 released on April 27, you might think it’s too late to finish Season 2 Battle Pass. Fortunately, this update also gives affected players bonus XP so they can complete the current Battle Pass before it disappears.
Affected players must log in to Warzone before April 27 to receive the bonus XP compensation. The developers claim that the award of this bonus XP will roll out over the next few days. This means that you may not receive the bonus rewards immediately on April 20th.
In addition, all players who logged in to Warzone during Season 2 will receive two 1-hour Double Battle Pass XP tokens that you can also use for Season 3 Battle Pass.
Warzone April 20 update patch notes
We’d like to thank you for your patience as we researched the issue related to Battle Pass XP wins. We are pleased to say that this issue has been resolved. In light of this fix and to compensate players for the previous interruption, we have decided to do the following:
- Affected players will be awarded XP retroactively for previously played matches
- To receive this bonus, players must log in to Warzone before the end of Chapter Three Season 2 on April 27 at. 10 PT.
- XP may have started appearing for some players last night on April 19 (PT)
- In addition, all players who logged in to Season 2 will receive two 1-hour Double Battle Pass XP tokens
- These tokens will be usable through the current and future seasons
