Who votes for Malenia in Elden Ring

Malenia is without a doubt the most famous meeting of all Elden Ring. Marika’s daughter – after Marika shared her body and had children with her other half, Radagon – is one of the most exciting characters in the game. Her unpredictable moves, ridiculous injuries and huge health pool make for a boss fight that is difficult for even the most prepared players. While the character initially captured the attention of fans in early pictures of Elden Ring, Malenia has further cemented itself as the most iconic character in the entire game. Since Elden Ring – and everything Souls games – are characterized by their level of difficulty, the most difficult boss in each title tends to reap the most lasting legacy among fans.

Pippa Bennett-Warner, the voice actress behind Malenia, is also largely responsible for the character’s famous status. Since every failed attempt to defeat Malenia is limited by the same voting line, fans have probably heard Bennett-Warner deliver the line, “I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella,” more times than they would admit. Her performance, however, goes far beyond the individual iconic line; Bennet Warner’s delivery during the opening scene of the boss fight, the transition scene between Malenia’s two phases and the monologue after her defeat are all integrated into bringing Malenia’s story to life.

Who’s Pippa Bennett-Warner?

Pippa Bennett-Warner is a British television and film actress from Banbury, England. In light of the character’s unprecedented popularity and status as the gold standard for Elden Ring boss fights, Bennett-Warner’s most famous role for players is without a doubt Malenia. However, Bennett-Warner has had an extensive career in addition to her work in Elden Ring. She began her television career with a brief appearance in a show called Holby bybut has since managed to land parts in shows like Southcliffe, Doctor Whoand Gangs of London. Recently, she starred in a six-part thriller called Chloeavailable on Amazon Prime.

Although she may be best known for her TV and voice acting performances, Bennett-Warner has always stayed close to her theatrical roots ever since she starred in a production of Lions King at the age of 11. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, she took roles in the plays Destroyed and Crocodile. In 2010, she received an Ian Charleson Praise for her performance in King Learand followed it up with yet another acclaimed Shakespeare performance as Queen Isabel in Richard IIwhere her co-stars included Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne.

Pippa Bennett-Warner’s story in games

To date, Pippa Bennett-Warner has only been credited with appearances in two games: World of Warcraft and Elden Ring. While it is clear that Bennett-Warner’s main focus is on television and film acting, the fact was that her first voice-over appearance was in the original World of Warcraft means she’s borrowed her talents for the gaming industry since 2004.

It is also a career that is conspicuously well chosen, as World of Warcraft is the best-selling MMORPG ever, and Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s best-selling title. To put this in perspective, the two titles – as one credit is to the Battle of Azeroth expansion – that Bennett-Warner has done voiceover work for a total of over $ 10 billion in revenue.

Since World of Warcraft included so extensive a cast of voice actors that it is difficult to determine exactly which World of Warcraft voice lines belong to Bennett-Warner. But given the overwhelmingly positive reception of her work as Malenia, players will no doubt be excited about more achievements in the gaming industry from her. With her track record, however, fans should expect it to be a big title.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
