As you may already know, God of War (2018) is celebrating its fourth anniversary today (at the time of writing on April 20). Some fans thought that we power get a meaty update on the sequel, God of War Ragnarok, as part of the celebrations – but it does not happen.
In short, Sony Santa Monica Studio developer says the game is not ready to be shown yet, although the company reiterates that its team is still working very hard on the expected exclusive PlayStation.
In a short video update, creative director Cory Barlog assures: “I guarantee you, the moment we have something that we are ready to share, we will share it with you.” Something tells us that Ragnarok’s next performance will be large.
For what it’s worth, God of War Ragnarok is still slated for 2022. Up to this point, Sony has been pretty confident that this year’s release window will hold, but it feels like we’ll need a date in a relatively close future. We would not at all be surprised to see Ragnarok do a splash over the summer with a hype re-unveiling.
