Minecraft is one of the most accessible and well known games in modern history. It is present on several platforms including PC and Mac, mobile devices and a wide range of consoles. Except in the case of the latter group, we can in the other versions of Minecraft download and install different mods to multiply the possibilities of the title even more. Because the process can be somewhat complex, we describe below and as part of this Minecraft guide everything you need to know to install mods on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
How to download and install mods in Minecraft on PC (not available on Windows 10) and Mac
- Download and install the Minecraft Forge program.
- We look for any courage that catches our attention and download it.
- We start Minecraft.
- Go to “Game Folder” (or menu with three horizontal lines) in the upper right side of the window.
- We open the “Mods” folder there. Or we create a new folder with that name.
- We make a Copy + Paste to the file of the mod we have downloaded to put it in the specified folder.
- Close the Minecraft launcher to restart it.
- We open it again and access “Profile” to find “Minecraft Forge” there and have mods installed and ready to be executed in the game.
How to download and install mods in Minecraft on iOS (iPhone and iPad)
- Download the MCPE Addons app from the App Store.
- We open the app, search and download the mod we prefer to test.
- From the app menu we can start the game to get mods installed.
- When we create a new game (and a new world), we can see all the mods downloaded by accessing the “Resource pack / behavior” in the lower left area of the screen.
- There we can at any time select the one we want to have active by clicking on “Play”.
How to download and install mods in Minecraft on Android
- Access the Play Store and download the BlockLauncher app.
- Download the mods you prefer in MCPEDL.
- Open the BlockLauncher app.
- Select the Settings icon at the top of the app.
- We allow “Manage Modpe scripts”.
- Press the + button and go to “Local Storage” and “Download” to access the installed files.
- When we create a new world, we should already have mods installed without any problems.
