Pixel 6 is ‘fastest selling Pixel ever’ as Sundar Pichai teases Android, new hardware at I / O 2022

After announcing a “quarterly sales record” during the last earnings call, Sundar Pichai said today that the Pixel 6 is the ‘fastest-selling Pixel ever. Alphabet CEO also teased several hardware and Android messages for I / O 2022.

Pixel 6 is a big step forward for the Pixel portfolio. And it’s been nice to see the response from Pixel users. It’s the fastest selling Pixel ever. And we build a broad consumer awareness of the brand and make good progress. I’m excited about the products we have on the way and look forward to sharing more on Google I / O.

That excitement confirms more or less hardware announcements at next month’s developer conference, similar to Google I / O 2019. Pixel 6a and Pixel Watch are very likely candidates.

Meanwhile, Pichai said the Android team will “on I / O showcase the many useful features and services that Android and its platforms offer.

Over the coming years, we will continue to invest in new form factors, hassle-free multi-device experiences and raise the bar for users’ privacy, while giving developers the tools they need to succeed on mobile.

Later this year, YouTube will get on television “new smartphone control navigation and interactivity features.” It will let people comment and share the videos they watch (on big screens) with their phones. There are over 2 billion logged in users on YouTube every month.
