Cyberpunk 2077’s first expansion is scheduled to be released in 2023, CD Project Red President Adam Kicinski announced during today’s earnings call. It provides a window into the ongoing development of the extension and Cyberpunk 2077 as a whole, which CDPR has promised to continue to support.
According to Kicinski, the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion is being developed by several “agile teams”, which were implemented as part of the “transformation process” that began after the disastrous development of Cyberpunk 2077. He did not elaborate on what the expansion would entail, but said it would be developed in the same framework as the Witcher franchise.
“We are fully committed to the Cyberpunk franchise and intend to develop it further,” Kicinski said.
