Atlus’ Switch-exclusive (so far) Shin Megami Tensei V has surpassed 1 million worldwide sales in less than six months, Atlus announced today.

As the latest post in Shin Megami Tensei series, fans had to wait over four years to get their fingers in the game, which was teased before Switch even came out. To celebrate this achievement, Atlus has shared some brand new art from character designer Masayuki Doi from the Nahobino you control throughout most of the game. Then we get more chance to faint over the beautiful hair.

Back in January, Shin Megami Tensei V had already become the best-selling game in the series in just two months, with the next best-selling contribution – Shin Megami Tensei IV on the 3DS – selling over 600,000 units. If you do not count the spin-off series Personof course.

Still, this is pretty great news for Atlus, as this marks a great return for the Shin Megami Tensei series. We think these high numbers are well deserved as we in our review called Shin Megami Tensei V “the best contribution in the series to date”.
