Splatoon 2 DLC is now part of the Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack

In addition to announcing the release date of Splatoon 3, Nintendo has revealed that the Octo Expansion DLC for Splatoon 2 is now available to all Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers.

The DLC package joins Mario Kart 8 Course Booster Pass and Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC on the higher level of Nintendo’s subscription service along with select Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis / Mega Drive titles.

From today, active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can enjoy Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC on Nintendo Switch system at no extra cost. It’s a great way to work out before Splatoon 3 games launched for Nintendo Switch! Previously only available as a separate purchase, you can now dive into the large-scale single-player expansion to Splatoon 2 with a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership!

In it Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC, you play as Agent 8, an Octoling who wakes up without his memories on a dark subway platform. Navigate a mysterious underground test facility in this adventure that spans 80 missions packed with challenges you won’t find in the main game. Escape from these twisted depths and you will be able to take part in multiplayer battles like your very own Octoling.
