The next generation GTA 5 patch adds a host of much-needed enhancements – IGN

Grand Theft Auto V is maybe almost 10 years old, but Rockstar Games is still working on the game. Today, the publisher introduced long-awaited improvements to the next-generation version of Grand Theft Auto V via update 1.56.

Release 1.56, which was quietly released for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, hosts a number of improvements and bug fixes that are detailed on Rockstar’s website. While most of these tweaks just fix minor bugs, the update also includes some much-requested improvements to quality of life, including:

  • Even shorter load times
  • Music is now constantly played while you are at an Xbox Live party
  • Tweaked adaptive trigger feedback on PS5
