E3 2022 will not take place this year, but Microsoft and Bethesda are moving forward with their own summer showcase. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, as it is called, takes place on Sunday, June 12th. For anyone who comes after, Microsoft owns Bethesda after the acquisition of the gaming giant in 2020.
The showcase will feature titles from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and Microsoft “partners around the world.” The event begins on June 12 at. 10:00 PT / 13:00 ET.
“The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will include everything you need to know about the diverse range of games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem, including upcoming releases for Game Pass on Xbox and PC,” said Microsoft.
Microsoft did not provide any details regarding games that were shown at the event, but Bethesda’s Starfield is a safe game – it launches on November 11, 2022 and may be one of this year’s biggest games. Microsoft also has new Fable and Forza Motorsport games on the way, which could be shown off. As for Bethesda, the showcase could bring more news about the Redfall and Indiana Jones games from MachineGames.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer teased the Xbox & Bethesda event, saying he’s having fun visiting studios and reviewing demos, announcements and scripts for the showcase. “I feel like a fan who has sneaked behind the scenes and seen the show being created,” he said.

Whatever we see, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will be broadcast in over 30 languages and can be streamed across a variety of locations. These include the following:
ESA canceled E3 2022 earlier this year, but it is expected to return to LA in 2023. Geoff Keighley’s annual Summer Game Fest will return this year, although there are no details on the show’s details yet. Gamescom is also expected to return this year with a personal component.
