Creative Assembly has announced a roadmap of upcoming changes and additions to Total War: Warhammer 3, AKA Princess Maker for Demons, and the long-awaited Immortal Empires are listed as coming in the 3rd quarter. Warhammer 3’s version of Mortal Empires, this is the mode that will combine the fractions of each game in the series and put them together on a single map, but it will only be added in the July-August-September update.
Before then, we should expect update 1.2 in May to include unit response fixes, single-entity units that stand around when they should duel with each other, remote and flying units that idle, AI fractions that rebuild towers too fast, and other problems that players have. experienced. The first free DLC is scheduled for the same May-June period: a Regiments of Renown package that adds elite units to all core factions.
In addition to the Immortal Empires going into beta, the July-August-September section of the roadmap notes that another Regiments of Renown package will be coming, as well as yet another patch. Update 1.3 will focus on skill tree recasting, making field battles more frequent, improving Cathay’s ability to attack in formations and other battle corrections. The Total War Assembly Kit also comes to help modders with their creations.
Update 2.0 will be the next milestone to bring Immortal Empires into beta. It will also include the first of several planned Old World Updates, a review of early game factions that were not reworked into Warhammer 2, the first of which is Warriors of Chaos. Warhammer 3’s Blood Pack DLC and its first Lord Pack are also scheduled for 2.0.
The roadmap ends with a letter from Richard Aldridge, DLC game director for Total War: Warhammer 3. “Having taken over the development of WARHAMMER III after its launch,” he writes, “my team has adjusted its original gaze and focus to improve. the experience of the game, based on the feedback we have received from you and continue to receive, but in doing so has led to a contagious effect with our originally planned roadmap for new DLC for the game – hence the lack of information about this until now. “
While it’s a shame not to know when DLC like the expected Chaos Dwarfs will arrive, Aldridge was the former DLC game director for Total War: Warhammer 2, an already excellent game that was enhanced by changes and additions after its launch. Getting him and his team to take over Warhammer 3 seems like a good sign.
As he continues to write: “The DLC team is furiously preparing to go back to doing what they are best at: working on new and exciting content that will see Total War: WARHAMMER III supported in the years to come: with fans’ favorite characters, races, unique mechanics and tales being added along with an unhealthy dose of special surprises. “
